What Fetch runners do not carry, and why. You confirm you have read it on every order.

If the runner finds a refused item at pickup, they turn it down, and you still owe the journey they already made.

Animals are not on the refused list

Fetch carries pets. Tell us what the animal is when you book, and have somebody at both addresses: nobody leaves an animal alone at a door.

Cat or small animal

In a closed carrier the whole way. The runner does not open it, does not leave it, and never puts it in a boot. A bag that is not a proper carrier is turned down.

Dog on a lead

On foot, inside the covered zone. Tell us the breed, the size, and whether the dog is comfortable with strangers. If it is not, the runner leaves without it.

What we turn down

Animals that are sedated, unwell, injured, pregnant or very young. Scooters, for any animal. And any journey long enough to distress it. If the runner judges the animal cannot travel safely, the order stops and you are not charged.

Refused items

Neither carried nor bought, no exceptions. The same list holds everywhere, on the site and in the app.

Cash, cheques and payment cards

No photo can prove what is inside an envelope. To move money, make a bank transfer.

Wallets, and bags with cash or cards inside

Same reason as above. An empty bag going back to its owner travels; a full wallet does not.

Jewellery, watches, precious stones and precious metals

Small, expensive, irreplaceable. Carrying them would put the runner at risk of being robbed.

Prescription medicines

Prescription medicine is refused: a pharmacist has to hand it to the named patient. The rest of the pharmacy travels, in its sealed bag, which the runner does not open and gives no advice about.

Alcohol, tobacco, vaping and nicotine products

Fetch never carries or buys alcohol, tobacco, vapes or nicotine products, whatever your age.

Weapons, ammunition, fireworks and explosives

Knives sold as weapons included. Runners ride bikes through traffic, so this one is about safety.

Fuel, gas cartridges, solvents and corrosive or hazardous chemicals

None of it travels safely in a backpack or a top box.

Illegal drugs, stolen goods and counterfeit goods

And anything else you are not allowed to move. The runner can refuse it, and hand it in where the law says they must.

Biological samples, clinical waste and medical material

These need approved packaging and tracking that Fetch does not have.

Anything that has to stay cold: fresh meat and fish, frozen food

Fetch holds no temperature on the way, so nothing that depends on one travels with us.

Any item worth more than €2,000.00

The app refuses the order above €2,000.00, with or without Fetch Protection.

Accepted under conditions

These travel, once the condition is met. A refusal at pickup is about the condition, never about the item.

Identity papers, official and professional documents

Identity papers, official documents and work files travel in a sealed envelope. The runner does not open it and hands it over in person against a code.

Electronic devices and fragile items

Electronics and fragile items travel up to €2,000.00 if they are packed for the journey. Badly protected, they are turned down at pickup.

Non-prescription medicines

The pharmacy bag stays sealed for the whole journey.

Food that does not need to stay cold

Accepted if they are sealed and packed for the journey.

Declared value and Fetch Protection

Every order carrying an object asks what the item is worth. The app enforces a maximum declared value, shown at the time of booking.

Fetch Protection is optional for items worth €300.00 or less. It becomes compulsory once the declared value goes above €300.00. Fetch protects items up to €2,000.00.

The contribution is 1.5% of the declared value. €25.00 participation per claim. Fetch owes the reimbursement, capped at the declared value and at €2,000.00, less the €25.00 participation.

Above €300.00, the app refuses the order until Fetch Protection is added. No item may be declared above €2,000.00.

Declare the real value. If an item is lost or damaged, any compensation is limited to the declared value: an item declared at 20 € that was worth 900 € cannot be compensated at 900 €.

If something goes wrong

Every order keeps a route, timestamps, a pickup photo, a delivery photo and two handover codes. Every support request is reviewed by a person with all of these elements in front of them.

Where the order failed because of Fetch or the runner, Fetch puts it right: a refund of the fare, a credit, or compensation up to the declared value and within the cap. Where the item should not have been sent through Fetch, no compensation is due.
